Editorial standards built for business decisions.

BusinessBanks.us is designed as a research publication, not a bank sales brochure. Our goal is to explain where a banking product fits, where it fails, and which operating realities matter most.

What BusinessBanks.us is for

BusinessBanks.us is an independent research publication for owners, operators, founders and finance teams evaluating U.S. business banking. We focus on how accounts, lending and treasury services work in practice: recurring cost, operating limits, payment workflows, account control, access and the ability to scale.

Editorial principle: product fit comes before brand familiarity, promotional bonuses or commercial relationships. A bank can be strong for one operating model and weak for another.

How we verify research

For changing product terms, we prioritize official bank product pages, fee schedules, account disclosures and service documentation. For regulatory and network rules, we prefer agencies and primary operators such as the FDIC, SBA, FinCEN, Federal Reserve and other authoritative sources. Third-party summaries can help discover a topic, but they do not replace an available primary source.

01Source

Collect current primary documents and identify effective dates.

02Normalize

Separate recurring economics from promotions and one-time offers.

03Interpret

Explain how the terms affect real operating patterns and use cases.

04Maintain

Display review dates and prioritize pages with changing figures for refresh.

Editorial ownership

Each research article is assigned to an editorial desk. Desk bylines make responsibility visible without inventing individual biographies or credentials.

Rankings and comparisons

Rankings are scenario-specific. Criteria are defined for the use case before options are ordered, and the same comparison frame is applied across the included banks. A ranking position is not an overall score of a bank. Comparison pages use verified review data and link readers back to the underlying research.

Commercial independence

The site may use advertising or commercial relationships. Those relationships do not purchase ranking positions, favorable verdicts or removal of relevant drawbacks. When a commercial relationship applies to a page, it should be disclosed clearly and separately from the editorial analysis.

Corrections and updates

Changing figures receive a visible review date. When a material factual error is identified, the page should be corrected using the strongest available source. Correction requests are most useful when they identify the exact page, disputed statement, replacement source and effective date.
