Unlimited digital activity can be valuable
Some business checking products exclude or provide unlimited digital transactions while limiting teller and paper activity. That structure can fit ecommerce companies better than a traditional account with a high headline item allowance but stricter treatment of electronic entries.
Map every settlement source
List card processors, marketplaces, PayPal-type wallets and ACH platforms that send money into the account. Confirm that settlement timing, account verification and transaction descriptions support clean reconciliation.
Chargebacks and reserves require liquidity planning
Processors can hold reserves or debit chargebacks unexpectedly. Keep enough operating liquidity to absorb those movements without disrupting payroll or vendor payments.
Integrations matter more as volume grows
Accounting feeds, API access, payment approvals and exportable transaction data become increasingly important at scale. A slightly more expensive account may be worthwhile if it reduces manual finance work.
Use a second account for resilience when justified
A secondary insured bank account can provide continuity if the primary account is frozen for fraud review or a payment processor issue. The benefit must be weighed against more reconciliation and cash fragmentation.
Primary sources and reference material
Choose the operating model first, then compare account pricing.
The right business account should fit real transaction patterns, cash handling, user controls and payment needs. A headline fee or transaction number is useful only in that operating context.
